Ongoing Study Program Schedule The 2010 Spring session begins Tuesday, January 12. The new calendar lists specific class days, holidays and closings. How our programs work: All of our classes are offered in an ongoing schedule. This means that you may start at any time. If you are a beginner, your first six-week class will teach you the basics of weaving: reading a weaving draft or design, warping and threading your loom, and weaving a sampler. Following your introduction, you may choose a topic from our suggested list, reinforcing and building upon the basic weaving skills. Classes for intermediate weavers may be drawn from our suggested list, or we may design a project especially for you. All weaving registration is for 6 weeks, and may be renewed as often as you wish. Missed classes should be made up before the 6 week period expires, by attending one of the other classes offered during the week. Our treadle wheel spinning classes are offered in 4 week periods, for a tuition price of $80. At the end of the 4 weeks, you may renew for another session of 4 weeks as often as you wish. Classes are held September through June, with breaks for holidays as listed in the calendar . Ongoing classes are offered during the following time periods (please see below for information on materials fees) We now accept Visa and MasterCard for weaving class tuition. Please note the additional fee for this service.
Materials Fees *All our weaving classes include the use of a loom, and enough materials to complete a simple project. If students wish to weave a larger item such as a blanket or rug, they may provide their own materials, or purchase yarns through us at wholesale prices. **Tuition includes use of a wheel during class and some materials. All fiber used in the Beginner's classes are included in tuition price. Intermediate and advanced spinners using fibers other than wool please add a $10 materials fee. |
